Meet the Coaches
Flip! Gym prides itself on hiring coaches and staff who truly enjoy working with children and love sharing their passion for the sports of gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, and ninja!
Halle McComb, Owner and Team Director
Halle and Neil McComb are proud owners of FLIP! GYM—from their early days with a van full of gymnastics equipment and two baby girls in tow—to two full service facilities totaling over 25,000 square feet, with a staff of over 20, the McComb family remains committed to providing a positive experience in gymnastics with high quality instruction, now having served hundreds of children throughout the Carolinas. Owner/Coach McComb has earned a lifetime of experience from the bottom up, as an award winning gymnast, a teacher, coach, and owner/operator of two mobile programs and two gyms, with a new location opened in 2016.
Halle has over 20 years of experience coaching competitive and recreational gymnastics, and is USAG, Safety, and ARC First Aid/CPR certified. She has had the opportunity to meet and work with several master coaches at highly ranked training camps throughout the country including Bella Karolyi at the famous national training camp in Texas, “the ranch.” Halle has led her current team athletes for the past eight years to win numerous state, regional, and national awards. With the early encouragement of Halle’s wonderful first coaches from Pennsylvania, Gus and Helen Hahn, and her supportive extended family, she has created and now operates FLIP! GYM’s two Charleston locations as a true family-owned business providing well balanced, skilled recreational and competitive programs in gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling. “We are proud to serve hundreds of Charleston families,” she said, “and we plan to continue to do so for years to come!” To see more about how FLIP! GYM came about, go to our ABOUT FLIP! page.
